Our Story
sturdy-fold began in 2014 when our founder, a systems engineer with years of corporate experience, noticed a significant gap in the market. Businesses were buying expensive technology without proper guidance, leading to wasted investments and frustrated teams.
The initial vision was straightforward: create a company that prioritises client outcomes over sales targets. Rather than pushing the latest gadgets, we'd focus on understanding what each organisation actually needed and recommending solutions accordingly.
Our first office was a modest space in Birmingham with three employees. We worked primarily with small businesses, helping them implement basic automation and connectivity solutions. Word spread quickly about our honest approach and technical competence.
By 2017, we'd expanded our team to fifteen specialists and opened a second location in Manchester. Our client base grew to include mid-sized enterprises and organisations in specialised sectors like healthcare and education. Each project taught us something new about implementing technology in real-world conditions.
Today, we're a team of forty professionals serving clients throughout the UK. We've maintained our founding principles whilst developing expertise in emerging technologies. The core mission hasn't changed: help businesses use technology effectively.
